About Lucia
Lucía Orellana-Damacela is a writer, teacher and social researcher born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is the author of Inherent (Fly on the Wall Press, 2020), Longevity River (Plan B Press, 2019), Sea of Rocks (Unsolicited Press 2018), and Life Lines (The Bitchin’ Kitsch, 2018). Her work has appeared in Tin House Online, PANK, Poet Lore, Carve, The Acentos Review and other venues. She holds a PhD in Social Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, was a professor at the Universidad Católica de Guayaquil and a visiting faculty at New York University, where she completed an MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish.

A woman who works as a museum curator and is organizing a new exhibition, starts crying blue and goes to an eye doctor's clinic hoping to find a cure for her ailment.
